Varsity Girls Soccer

The Varsity Girl's Soccer team faces a competitive schedule in the New England Prep Athletic Council (NEPSAC) league in Class B and has advanced to playoffs every year since 2017, winning in 2024. Our program is built on a foundation of strong team culture, emphasizing development both on and off the field. Key objectives include consistently ranking among the top Class B teams, encouraging players to step outside their comfort zones, and fostering leadership skills. A commitment to daily champion-like practices is essential, along with instilling values of courage, persistence, high standards, and accountability. We aim to improve players’ soccer IQ–technically, tactically, and mentally–in order to prepare our student-athletes for the next level. Additionally, we provide support to our players during the college recruitment process for those aiming to play at the NCAA level. 

Lauren Jenkins

Lauren Jenkins holds a bachelor’s of science degree in exercise science and a master’s of science degree in anatomy and physiology from Boston University. Jenkins was named the Massachusetts United Soccer Coaches Private School of the Year in 2022. 

She was a member of the Boston University Women’s Varsity Soccer team and captain of the team in 2004. Her team was the America East Champion in 2001 and 2003 and had NCAA appearances in 2001 and 2003. Jenkins was Gatorade Player of the Year for Rhode Island in 2000, was USASA Massachusetts State Select Team in 2006 and 2007, USASA National Select Team Pool Camp in 2007, and played for the Boston Aztec Women’s soccer team from 2006-2008. 

Prior to joining Dexter Southfield, Jenkins was the technical director and college advisor of the South Shore Select Soccer Club.
