Varsity Cross Country

The Cross Country team competes in the New England Prep School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) League and the Division III Championships for New England. Our runners compete in prestigious meets such as the Canterbury, Williston Northampton, and Dexter Southfield Invitationals. 

Our program strives to build individual and team confidence as athletes in a sport that tests consistency, resilience, and cohesion. Our program is highly accessible to any student, regardless of their athletic background. Students can find success and profound improvement through commitment toward their training and a growth mindset. We strive to be competitive not only with our individual running performances but also our team performance which is elevated through pushing each other in practices, teamwork race strategies, and a positive team culture. 

Kramer Peterson

Kramer Peterson holds a bachelor's degree in biology and psychology from Amherst College and is currently a graduate student at Boston College for the Educational Leadership and Policy program. He regularly competes in road races, trail races, and triathlons. 

Peterson coached cross country at the Forman School before joining Dexter Southfield. He coached the boys' team to a second place finish and the girls' team to a fourth place finish at the NEPSAC 2022 championships.
