Facilities

Our 36-acre campus includes a suite of best-in-class athletic facilities.

Dexter Southfield’s athletic facilities are designed for all students, PreK through Class 12, to develop healthy habits, improve their physical well-being, and promote the importance of movement, skill development, and competition. Our 36-acre campus includes a fieldhouse and arena, indoor pool, two artificial turf fields, an indoor turf facility, a natural grass field, baseball and softball diamonds, and a squash center.  

Kraft Fieldhouse & Fusco Arena

Opened in 2017, the nearly 50,000-square foot state-of-the-art facility includes the Kraft Fieldhouse with playing surfaces for volleyball, basketball and tennis; Fusco Arena, a renovated arena with seating, offices, and the Wilson Family multipurpose room; a fully equipped strength and conditioning center staffed by a full-time School employee; an athletic training facility staffed by two full-time athletic trainers; and numerous locker rooms for home and away teams.

Training Center

Opened in 2024, the Training Center added 12,750 square feet of indoor turf and allows students in PreK through Class 12 to play and train all year. 

Main Field

Main Field is a turf facility used by our football, soccer, field hockey, and lacrosse teams. It is also used by our Lower School and Middle School sports programs. The adjacent amphitheater provides spectator seating.

Lower Field

Lower Field is the School’s second artificial turf field used by field hockey, football, soccer, and lacrosse at the Middle School, Varsity B, and Varsity levels. 

Ballpark

Ballpark includes recently upgraded baseball and softball diamonds and a natural grass surface for soccer. 

Squash Center

The Dexter Southfield Squash Center houses six state of the art ASB international singles squash courts, with an optimal layout for team matches, group training, spectating and hosting events. The Center utilizes US Squash’s Club Locker Venue system with iPads and scoreboard monitors located above each court. The Center is used by our Middle and Upper School competitive athletic teams and our Lower School sports rotation program. 

Boathouse

Located approximately five miles from campus in Milton, MA, the School’s boathouse is on the Neponset River and provides great opportunity for training and competing.

Lincoln Pool

The heated Lincoln Pool is 25 yards long and 15 yards wide, includes a one-meter diving board, and features a retractable roof for the summer months. The Lincoln Pool is home to the School’s competitive swim program and used for the developmental swim program for our Lower School.
